Production Team Lead, Megaflex 1st Shift

Summary

The Production Team Lead role is responsible for ensuring the production assembly department is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production build schedule. The Production Team Lead provides direction to their respective production or fabrication department and ensures safety, quality, and delivery standards are always maintained. The Production Team Lead will fabricate products by using a variety of tools, fixtures, work instructions, and test equipment to perform a series of operations to correctly fabricate industrial belting products.

Accountabilities

• Observe and follow safety rules as prescribed by the safety policies, including wearing required PPE.
• Able to operate all necessary equipment in a proficient manner
• Assist with machine changeovers to minimize set-up time and enhance machine utilization rates.

Parameters for success (KPIs)

• Achieve and sustain established On Time Delivery (OTD) targets through adhering to customer schedule of deliveries.
• Understand and enforce company policies and procedures and work with the manager to administer them.
• Use basic problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
• Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Planning & Warehouse to resolve issues.

Requirements of the job

• Prior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using various hand tools
• Must be able to read and interpret measuring devices (tape measures, calipers, scales)
• Ability to complete basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and metric system
• Must be able to work in the US.
• Ability to read and comprehend shop orders and working drawings written in English
• Able to Operate machines.
