About the Department and/or College The Texas Tech Accounting Services department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Administrator to join our Grants Management Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the post-award financial and compliance functions of sponsored projects by handling financial records and addressing a high volume of questions requiring knowledge of internal and external regulations to make independent judgment calls. This position relies on a strong understanding of grant and contract administration, financial management, and compliance regulations. Major/Essential Functions
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 5 years. Preferred Qualifications Experience in research administration (including Federal regulations and institutional policy), fund accounting, working with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and working in TTU specific systems (Banner, FiTS, TechBuy, BRS, Cognos, etc.). Experience delivering customer service both in person and via email/phone. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
