The Scheduler/Secretary will be responsible for performing scheduling function in a streamlined environment, which is fully computerized. Position requires application of special instructions and procedural information to identify type of procedure requested and correctly schedule rooms and equipment. Enter various data into computer system, verifies the accuracy of data input, and corrects errors and prints reports as necessary.

RADIOLOGY WOMEN'S IMAGING

Responsible for duties listed in Radiology Section B if applicable and will also perform the Following for all Breast MRI at all NSH locations, all Breast MR Biopsies at Atlanta andForsyth and all procedures in the Breast Care Center:

Monitors patient schedule through out the day for biopsy, MR Breast and other specified procedures being scheduled at several locations.

Obtains all required documents, orders and images as soon as possible for radiologist preview of case and/or comparison of previous cases.

Works collaboratively with referring physician's office to obtain all documentation and arrange courier as needed.

Assures radiologist previews cases in timely manner and conveys results to appropriate modality and clerical area for accurate order entry.

Communicates directly with scheduling to modify scheduled modalities or appointment to meet protocols.

Maintains 30 day hold for procedures, pathology results and upcoming surgical cases.

Medical terminology

One (1) year previous medical related clerical or related experience or an associates degree.

Good communication skills.

Typing requirements vary by department.

Fundamental knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application.

Level of proficiency in the use and application of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) varies by department.
