PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Working remotely at all company facilities maintaining computer system activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Primary support of all locations' computer systems. This includes but not limited to configuring, installing, and maintaining Home Office network and remote site hardware, software and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and Internet service providers.
  • Job does require some mechanical and physical aptitude such as climbing ladders and/or working in elevated positions. Other operational job functions include remote camera maintenance, network installation in new building spaces, support of mobile devices of operations staff, and technical assistance on automation hardware and software.
  • Will be helpful if familiar with various software programs. This would include applications such as the Microsoft suite of products such as Excel, Access, Word and Outlook, Microsoft operating systems. Any familiarity with Linux would be a plus.
  • Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
  • Ability to communicate standards for use of, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data.
  • Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems.
  • Consults with department managers to develop system solutions that are consistent and uniform with organizational objectives.
  • Attends required meetings as requested.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
