Summary:

Working under the guidance of the Assistant Vice Provost, Student Success in the Office of Enrollment Management, the Student Success Specialist will play a vital role in supporting a diverse population of students in a coordinated effort throughout their academic journey. The primary responsibility will be to advocate for students by providing proactive outreach and helping them navigate campus resources to overcome challenges and ensure their success at Temple. This position will practice data-driven outreach, proactive resource referral, and timely/holistic interventions to meet the needs of students, especially those with complex issues that may span multiple offices/areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of two (2) years of directly related student services experience working in academic advising, academic support, student affairs or related field in higher education. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • * Familiarity with student information systems and case management tools.
  • * Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of employers, students, faculty and staff.

  • * Ability to maintain a consistently positive and objective customer service approach.
  • * Ability to manage time effectively while balancing multiple tasks.

  • * Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • * Demonstrated commitment to student success and equity in education.
  • * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; ability to learn new and emerging technologies.
  • * Familiarity with student information systems.



The position requires a background check.

The position requires Child Abuse Certifications before the commencement of service.
