Description
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Logistics, you will support various areas in Materials Management including Laundry & Linen and the Uniform Distribution Center by managing supply; and analytic, quality, and administrative functions.You will also supervise a team of employees to ensure they are performing at excellence and meeting objectives.Your responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
- Train current and new employees, monitor staff compliance, counsel team members, and evaluate employees' overall performance
- Maintaininventory, storage, tracking, distribution, and mending of products
- Gather data and research of new and current products
- Monitor, review, and control expenditures; responsible for reporting and billing
- Coordinate with Procurement and collect, enter, analyze data
- Provide support to Managers on their ongoing efforts of financial viability, performance improvements, and system changes; may be required to assist in special projects as needed
- Coordinate communication, transportation, and deliveries with internal and external departments
- Process UCLA Health employees' uniform requests
This position will be cross trained in multiple areas and may work in various UCLA Health sites as needed.
Salary Range: $68,800-$141,000 Annually
Qualifications

- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in an acute healthcare setting.
- Proficient use of computer software, LAWSON, AIS, PAN, MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Demonstrated knowledge of implementation and management of materials management information systems.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge to recognize "confidential" issues/information/documents; and ability to retain the corresponding confidential documentation in proper manner.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills with a strong customer service emphasis.
- Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Skills in performing with frequent interruptions and under time constraints.
- Skills in setting priorities that accurately reflect importance of job responsibilities; able to easily adapt to changes in work load and assignments.
- Ability to adhere to department and UCLA Health policies and procedures.
- Ability to attend all in-services, workshops, drills, and classes as requested.
- Ability to work in various UCLA Healthsites as needed.
