RN

The RN is responsible for collaborating with the physician in managing and providing for age appropriate patient care. This includes the immediate, short-term nursing care needs of patient, as well as, planning for long-term needs. Experience doing IV access and port flushes.

The nurse's scope of practice is determined by the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and established procedures and standards of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of a current Kentucky RN license required, or higher

BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire

Valid Kentucky driver's license with satisfactory driving record required

• All departmental/staff/operational problems reported to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.

• Clerical duties may include scheduling, answering phone, filing, copying, completing forms/referrals/precerts, obtaining demographic information, updating charts, assuring fee tickets reflect services perform.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

• Graduation from an accredited RN program.

• BCLS Certification required.

• Sterile technique and medication management required.

• Minimum two years of direct patient care experience preferred.
