Job Description:

RN-Clinical Nurse Coordinator-PCU-CCU

• The clinical coordinator functions as a clinical pathway, population-based clinician responsible for promoting patient safety and high-quality patient care through clinical leadership, education, consultation, modeling, and research.
• The clinical coordinator incorporates evidence-based practice, theory, and research into various patient care settings according to patient needs by collaborating with multi-professional groups; facilitating the development of hospital and department policies, nursing procedures, regulatory standards and guidelines; and conducting research.
• The role also includes functioning as a community resource on topics within scope of practice and providing nursing orientation, education, and ongoing competency verification
• All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
• The clinical nurse specialist/educator is a role model for caring that honors the patient's mind, body, and spirit.

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required with a minimum of 3 years' experience in clinical area.
• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit.
• Certification in relevant specialty area or in nursing professional development.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by department of assignment.
