The Dosimetrist designs treatment plans by means of computer and/or manual computation to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and field placement technique per the physician's prescription to a defined tumor volume. Considers dose-limiting structures in the design of treatment. Plans and documents dose in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Provides physics and technical support to the relevant staff and faculty, in radiation protection, qualitative machine calibrations, and quality assurance of the radiation oncology equipment. Assists in the application of specific methods of dosimetry including ion chamber, TLD, or film measurement as directed by the Chief Dosimetrist. Assists in intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $161,465 - $200,803 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $77.33 - $96.17 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
