Financial Reporting Manager - Interim

Position Overview
The Manager of Financial Reporting reports directly to the Controller. Primary responsibilities include preparation of internal and external financial statements, oversight of selected accounting areas, supervision of the annual external audit and preparation of certain materials to quarterly earnings calls.

Responsibilities
Prepare external quarterly and annual audited financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations. Selected corporate accounting activities include the following:
Routinely evaluate complex and judgmental accounting matters to include lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and hedge accounting.
Prepare consolidated balance sheet and cash flows on a monthly basis, as well as year-to-date and full year cash flows.
Prepare or review assigned account reconciliations.
Prepare certain materials to management's quarterly earnings calls held with lenders and investors. Supervise external auditor activities in connection with the annual audit. Maintain, update and upgrade, as necessary, financial reporting processes and related internal controls. Participate in cross-functional project teams to support company initiatives.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 5-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
  • CPA certification required.

  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and statements.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight timeframes.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
