Job Description Summary

Using effective communication, problem solving, and diagnostic skills to ensure efficient daily productivity of forging activities.

Job Description

  • Analyzes and resolves process and tooling related problems within Machining Plant
  • Establishes or adjusts work processes to meet production schedules
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance andquality of product
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance on any 10- foot circle process improvements
  • Maintain necessary paperwork for engineering changes
  • Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Communicates top issues and status of key projects verbally and electronically with all levels of management
  • Escalates the need for corrective actions and management support for safety, quality,and productivity related issues
  • Various activities including but not limited to using MS Office and Plex
  • Create detailed work instructions that are useful and easily understood by operators
  • Setup CNC lathes for production and engineering trials
  • Change/setup various work holding fixtures on shapers and lathes
  • Load/unload CNC and loader programs from NC controllers.
  • Facilitate and conduct tool trials in a controlled manner
  • All other job duties as assigned

Required Skills and Education

  • proficient knowledge of CNC programming, CMM inspection, SPC, CAD, and PLC preferred.
