Reporting directly to the Manager, Administrative, as a Staff Accountant, you will support accounting and business policies and procedures, be involved with preforming monthly close tasks, maintaining plant financial processes, and preparing summary reports that help drive business decisions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Performing and monitoring fundamental accounting activities at the plant level to ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
  • Completing the daily accounts payable and customer invoicing processes.
  • Executing month-end closing procedures in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and reviewing general ledger and subsidiary ledgers transactions to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
  • Supporting processes to ensure two financial systems are in sync (Navision ERP system and Oracle financials system).
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations as assigned, promote strong internal controls and provide support during all audits, assist with inventory reporting including annual physical inventories.
  • Supporting cost accounting functions which include periodic costing system updates, analyze monthly standard cost variances, and work with the plant to ensure BOM/routing updates are made as needed.
  • Involved in tracking capital expenditures and assist with maintaining the asset register and ensure that plant assets are reviewed annually and assist in preparation and review of monthly/weekly forecast, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget.
  • Stay up to date with accounting concepts, practices, and procedures and maintain a professional level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is in Franklin, OH and will operate on a Hybrid work schedule. Candidates from Hartsville, SC and Charlotte, NC will be considered if frequent travel to the Franklin, OH location is amenable.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance, or equivalent.
  • You have a 3-5 years' experience with exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • You have an excellent Excel skills and general IT systems knowledge (Microsoft Navision/Microsoft Office/Query/Oracle).
  • You have a strong analytical capabilities.

Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this role is from $62,560 to $70,380.

This is a progression position and level will be based on candidate experience and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business

Preferred Certifications: CPA, CMA
