Position Summary

Kinesso is searching for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team as a technical leader. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to deliver an innovative, data-driven solution that will revolutionize how we operate. You will be responsible for hands-on development, effective management, and cultivating a collaborative environment that drives results. By partnering with the Product team, you will play a key role in shaping our strategic roadmap. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in guiding our team to deliver high-quality software solutions consistently.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor software engineers to ensure high performance and growth by providing guidance, support, and motivation.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software solutions to ensure they align with product requirements, meet quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Actively participate in software development tasks, contribute to code, architecture design, and provide technical expertise.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance by following S-SDLC, best practices, and coding standards.
  • Identify potential risks in the software solution and proactively implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Keep at the forefront of the latest technology trends and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver solutions that drive business value and growth.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in leadership role.
  • Proven experience architecting, delivering, and operating large-scale, highly available systems.
  • Proficiency in application development using: Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, Snowflake, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Terraform, Jira, Confluence, Wiz, Snyk, Figma and Datadog.
  • Strong understanding of API design and implementation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, CI/CD processes, and security best practices
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and leading agile teams utilizing Scrum.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with non-technical users.



Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in working with remote teams and geographically distributed team management.
  • Experience in designing team org structure and managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of emerging AI and data technologies to drive POCs related to AI solutions.
  • Experience in hiring, building, and scaling engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
