Housed in the Enrollment division, this newly created position will strengthen the University of Virginia's service to the Commonwealth and commitment to access. Reporting to the Senior Transfer Counselor and in collaboration with the Associate Director for Undergraduate Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Outreach Coordinator will facilitate and strengthen the transfer pathway for Virginia Community College students, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, to transition to UVA. The coordinator will develop relationships with Virginia Community College System (VCCS) institutions and colleagues in order to implement financial aid information events and provide individualized student support.Events and student meetings will take place both in-person, at VCCS campuses, and virtually. The outreach coordinator will play a pivotal role in assisting VCCS students who wish to transfer to UVA. The Enrollment division at UVA includes the Office of Undergraduate Admission, the Office of the University Registrar, Student Financial Services, and Commonwealth Partnerships. The Financial Aid Outreach Coordinator will join engaged, innovative colleagues working collaboratively to compete for talented students from all walks of life and to care for students from their first interaction with the University through Final Exercises and beyond. This position is hybrid and includes regular travel to VCCS campus locations and to UVA, as well as remote work. The position will remain open until filled, with a target start date in December 2024. Review of applications begins October 25th, 2024. This is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. Grant funding is currently secured through June 2028. Anticipated Hiring Range: $55,000 - $63,000 commensurate with education, experience, and demonstrated past performance.
