The Office of Undergraduate Education is seeking talented educators from all liberal arts disciplines to join their corps of Advising Fellows, pre-major advisors who teach in the Engagements program, the required curriculum for all First-Year Students. Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Advising, the Advising Fellows provide group and individual advising for first- and second-year students in the College. Fellows assist students in their transition to college, help them develop and practice strategies for academic success, and familiarize them with the array of resources across grounds (career center, study abroad, etc.). Student Advising Fellows are responsible for actively managing a caseload of students from matriculation through admission into a major/program. Their workload includes teaching multiple courses per year in the Engagements Program, running programming for Faculty and Students, and contributing to the College's historical commitment to Liberal Arts education.
