Our Strategy and Planning team, part of our broader Sales Operations team, strives to help our Sales organization scale and grow faster. This function will act as a key business partner to the Customer Success (CS) leadership team. You will have an opportunity to embed yourself as the "COO" of that business, and your responsibilities will range across a variety of strategic initiatives including piloting and scaling up new projects, analyzing data to come up with meaningful business insights, and optimizing processes.

We are looking for a senior analyst to help us build out this global function over time and drive forward initiatives that will help us unlock sales revenue. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in data analysis to tell stories and thrives in shaping narratives that are conducive to helping our teams grow.


The Opportunity

As a Senior Analyst of CS Strategy and Planning, you will:



  • Help drive the analytical rhythm of our business including monthly and quarterly business reviews, forecasting, org deep dives
  • Partner with CS leadership to drive market + segment specific analyses to uncover insights and emerging trends
  • Efficiently pull data and derive insights based on a business problem posed
  • Become an expert in understanding CS KPIs and implications on performance tracking, compensation and forecasting
  • Participate in quarterly and annual business planning for the CS team including headcount planning, territory assignments, and segmentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various business units to drive productivity and operational efficiency


The Ideal Candidate



  • Bachelor's Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • 3+ years of work experience in either Sales Strategy or Sales Operations; experience in Customer Success Ops a big plus
  • Thrives in working in a fast-paced working environment
  • Effective communicator who can break down convoluted technical concepts into simple business vernacular
  • Familiarity with consumption-based software business models
  • A skilled data analyst with advanced Excel capabilities with the ability to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience with at least one major business intelligence tool (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker)
  • You can navigate your way around Salesforce with relative ease

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.
