Join the Principal Finance group in Macquarie Capital and be a part of the Global Operations team responsible for the management of our principal investing portfolio, from pre-acquisition to divestment. The Principal Finance team in Macquarie Capital operates globally, providing flexible primary financing solutions and engaging in secondary market investing, across the capital structure, in both the corporate and real estate sectors.

What role will you play?

You will work directly with the principal investing deal team and key internal and external stakeholders where you will be responsible for supporting a large and well-connected investing business for all operational management and execution activities supporting private credit, private equity and real estate product lines. This responsibility will include end to end transaction management on syndicated and bilateral deals both as syndicate lender and lead lender, including coordinating deal approval with the investing team, submitting KYC requests and involvement in conflicts checks, deal closing and ongoing management of deal cash flows, reviewing loan documentation to facilitate deal booking within LoanIQ, ongoing loan administration within LoanIQ and peripheral systems, management of borrower Covenants and Information flows, settlement of secondary loan trades via Clearpar and manual documents and coordination with sub agency services on agented deals. You will also have the opportunity to expand your experience into areas like fund administration for third party capital, data and automation projects and many other areas the team operates in.
Salary range for the role: $85,000 - $135,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What you offer

  • 2 to 5 years of experience within financial or professional services in a similar or related role
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business
  • Previous experience working with Loan IQ (or equivalent corporate loan management system) in a similar role
  • Strong numerical skills, Excel skills, ability to problem solve and an understanding of loan management in the private credit or syndicated debt markets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines and follow tasks through to completion.
