The Method's Engineering Technician will be assisting with all aspects associated with creating, updating, and maintaining the documentation controlled by methods engineering. Position reports to the Engineer Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process front end tasks for the engineering staff which include but are not limited to:

    • Creating internal part #'s using an Oracle-based MRP system

    • Entering orders

    • Creating component specifications utilizing manufacturer datasheets

  • Create and maintain incoming inspection plans noted on doc spec's

  • Process generic updates to work instructions, which may include correcting typos, adding Q-Alerts as directed by quality, or adding notes provided by an engineer.

  • Assist in processing orders as needed by the engineering staff. Specific direction will be provided as to what needs to be completed.

  • Assist in processing Manufacturing Change Notices (MCNs) as needed by the engineering staff. Specific direction will be provided as to what needs to be completed.

  • Addressing obsolete components by assisting to identify alternates and obtaining end-customer approval.

  • Assist with printing UID label and troubleshooting label programs as issues arise from the floor.

  • Process update requests from planning (ie creating customer supplied part #s, addressing alternate components)

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Well organized with demonstrated strong project management skills.

  • Sense of urgency and works well under pressure.

  • Ability to interpret customer documentation (blueprints, drawings, specifications, bills of material).

  • Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of personnel, including production floor associates.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word.

  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision.

  • Prior experience with MRP systems such as Oracle or SAP

  • Due to ITAR requirements, candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • Associates degree preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Printed circuit board assembly knowledge preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
