The City of Takoma Park is seeking a Librarian to perform reference and circulation duties in support of library operations; plan, develop and coordinate library programs for children, teens, and/or families; and assists in the selection of materials. This is a part-time position expected to work 25 hours per week: Sunday 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM (the Library closes on several Sundays throughout the year to observe Holidays) and Monday through Wednesday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Supervisors can work with the successful candidate to determine a new permanent schedule between Monday through Saturday to best accommodate Children & Young Adult services and programs (e.g. to develop programs outside of school hours). This position is eligible for membership in the AFSCME union. Typical Duties include:

The hourly wage for this position is expected to be between $33.34-39.27 and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
