Moog Aircraft Group in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer position reporting to the Software Engineering Manager. This is an onsite role with occasional work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8+ years' experience, or a Master's degree and 6+ years' experience

  • Programming in C, Python or LabVIEW computer languages

  • Experience developing safety-critical software

  • Experience with revision control systems such Jira, Git, or SVN.

  • Experience using common test equipment such as logic analyzers and JTAG emulators for developing and validating peripheral interfaces

  • Experience leading and organizing engineering teams, while maintaining organization communications

You will play a key role in developing critical systems and be required to:

  • Design and implement software for use in embedded aircraft control and propulsion systems utilizing real-time data

  • Design and implement software that performs data acquisition and control for automated test equipment

  • Perform systems and software integration and verification activities using real and simulated hardware

  • Lead a team to provide system definition, requirements authoring, software development and verification, controlling project costs

With responsibilities in the following areas:

  • For a given project, lead a team to define and implement the software requirements, perform system integration, execute system testing, and maintain support of the software in the target environment.

  • You will have knowledge of various computer operating systems, including hardware drivers and hardware interfacing.

  • You must stay abreast of advances in technology and processes for continuous improvement of accuracy, reliability, and cost.

  • You are responsible for developing maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems.

  • You must select instrumentation for such systems with an understanding of the appropriate accuracy to meet functional requirements.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $100,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
