Moog Space and Defense Group is hiring an Associate Systems Engineer in East Aurora, NY. This is an onsite position with some flexibility for hybrid work reporting to the Chief Engineer.

To be considered for the position of Associate System Engineer, you will need a minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical, aeronautical, or electrical engineering.

As the Associate System Engineer, you will learn the language and basic principles of system engineering. The products of Moog generally are unique for each customer. Therefore, most new applications require a special, tailored design, even though adaptation of existing designs always should be considered. This brings a regular supply of new and different challenges engaging all engineering disciplines throughout the product life cycle.

Your responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and test of complex control hardware used on military vehicles and equipment
• Learning the product design and development process
• Determining the customer's needs, Moog product architecture, analysis approaches and project management processes (cost and schedule)
• Supporting subsections of the overall system engineering responsibilities
• Being monitored by other Project, System or Design Engineers
• Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs
