As a Director, Commercial Aftermarket New Business Development and Strategy you will:

  • Report directly to the GVP & GM Commercial Aftermarket and be a member of the Commercial Aftermarket Leadership Team.

  • Be responsible for the organization, development, and execution of near-term and long-term new business development plans for the Commercial Aftermarket.

  • Be accountable for increasing and protecting Moog's market share, expanding Moog's scope of supply, and broadening Moog's customer base globally.

  • Support the development of new business strategy in conjunction with other Commercial Aftermarket leadership members.

  • Understand all aspects of the air framer / customer, its business, strategy, culture and decision-making process

  • Collaborate and partner closely with the Airframe and Engine Components Business Unit Directors, regional sales team and operations leadership to ensure alignment and successful hand-off of lead generation

  • Execute new product and service introduction sales plans in accordance with Global sales strategy

  • Coordinate and communicate with Moog subsidiaries on sales initiatives and opportunities

  • Research, analyze, recommend and execute new business development initiatives to create increased revenue opportunities for the Business

  • Provide insight to business unit directors in support of development of pricing and relationship strategies regarding new commercial aftermarket business opportunities

To be considered for the Director, Commercial Aftermarket New Business Development and Strategy, here's what you will need to bring with you:

  • Professional degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) in the field of Engineering or other technical discipline

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience with new business development outside of Moog or minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience within Moog Inc.

  • Highly collaborative, strategic, able to develop both short- and long-term vision for potential new business opportunities

  • Technical understanding of the marketplace and sales channels, while having sound business sense, aptitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Possess a collaborative, energetic style dealing with both success and failure evenly
  • Ability to execute the sales plan together with recognition of strong travel requirements to assure success is necessary
  • Proven ability to work closely and constructively with other senior managers to represent the needs of the customer within Moog.
  • Travel: Approximately 40% travel (Domestic and/or international)
  • Knowledge and experience in Moog's core markets and/or experience in the aerospace aftermarket field preferred

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $170,000.00-$220,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
