  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered).
Our team in the SDG Space Sector's Actuation and Avionics Business Unit is looking for aSenior Product Engineer in Mechanical Product Engineeringto work on both production and development programs focused on hydraulic actuators and electromechanical actuators. Reporting to the Staff Product Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the product delivery throughout the product lifecycle.This includes proposal support, program kick-off, design reviews, qualification, and production of the hardware. Day- to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute programs and deliver space-rated hardware to the customer.
  • Provide direction to Technicians as well as coordinate with Program Management, Quality, Project Engineering, and Design Engineering to maintain high integrity products.
  • Communicate directly with Moog's customers and suppliers.
  • Contribute to the analysis, design, development, and test of complex hardware used on commercial and NASA vehicles.
  • Identify and execute plans to improve cost and schedule on development and production programs.
  • Lead failure investigations to determine root case and implement corrective actions.
  • Generate technical data, reports, and procedures for assigned programs.
  • For production programs, serve as technical focal point for internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with other Moog resources to resolve production problems and perform Material Review Board (MRB) analyses.
  • Evaluate, sustain, implement, and improve assembly & test methods, fixtures, and test equipment necessary for product delivery.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
