Moog's Military Aircraft Group is hiring an Industrial Security Specialist.
As an Industrial Security Specialist, you will be working under the direction of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations for classified contracts in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other Department of Defense (DoD) regulatory directives. To be considered for this role, here's what you will need to bring with you:
Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years' experience in corporate, industrial security and/or legal compliance roles.
Prior industrial security experience and training preferred. High level of ethical, moral, and trustworthiness standards required to protect personal, company sensitive, and U.S. Government classified and unclassified sensitive information. Ability to work in office both independently and collaboratively with a high-functioning on-demand security team, along with internal and external program stakeholders. Current Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain for the duration of employment requiring a security clearance and all required trainings and/or certifications. Must be capable of multitasking while maintaining superior accuracy and proper recordkeeping management for all responsible tasks, duties, and assignments. Experience interpreting and applying the NISPOM, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency's Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), National Security Agency Policy 3-16 (COMSEC), and other DoD regulations including controlled unclassified information. Proficiency using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and U.S. government databases including but not limited to, DISS, NBIS, Secure Web Fingerprint Transaction (SWFT), National Industrial Security System (NISS), Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and others as required. Willingness and ability to walk within large buildings up to several times per day with packages weighing less than 20 lbs.
Here's what you can expect to work on daily basis: I. Personnel Clearance (PCL) Management:
Support badge issuance and access for PCL and Non-PCL holders. Process personnel for U.S. Department of Defense security clearances and reinvestigations. Administer and track initial and refresher mandatory training, briefings, debriefings, and reports of delinquent training; prepare internal System Access Authorization Requests, Personnel Security System Access Requests, Program Access Requests, Prescreening Questionnaires and Templates. Maintain accuracy and timely updates in DISS and internal records management system(s). Process outgoing and manage incoming VARs and required security briefings. Support user access requests for area requests and monitor compliance with requirements providing written report of deficiencies.
II. SEAD 3 and General Reporting Obligations:
Track and report foreign travel, foreign or suspicious contacts and other SEAD 3 and NISPOM reporting requirements in internal recordkeeping systems and DISS. Assist with gathering facts for infractions and security violations, generate reports for FSO review and submission. Receive, organize, and provide detailed weekly summary of unauthorized access attempts, alarmed events, and contracted patrol reports to FSO.
III. FOCI Mitigation:
Gather, review, organize and provide detailed summary of monthly FOCI reports to FSO for monthly review and quarterly reporting. Receive, review and report FOCI mitigation concerns to FSO.
IV. Continuous Education and Improvements:
Support FSO identifying policy, procedures, and standard work updates. Identify gaps, deficiencies, and areas for improvement. Participate in learning, education, and growth opportunities.
Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $60,000.00-$85,000.00 Annually
