Milwaukee Public Schools is actively recruiting candidates for paraprofessional positions providing academic and behavioral support to students in classrooms through the school building. Openings are available in elementary, middle, and high schools across the district. A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) paraprofessional engages in activities with regular and special education students which support and individualize the teaching-learning process in the district. This is a 30 hour per week, benefit eligible position requiring eligible applicants to hold 48 college credits or to have successfully completed one of the following Paraprofessional Assessments: WorkKeys ACT, ParaPro Assessment ETS, Paraeducator Master Teacher. Qualified applicants will be sent a notice to complete an online interview using our interview software, VidCruiter. The notice for interview will be sent via email from careers@milwaukee.k12.wi.us. At the time of hire, the selected candidate will need to submit one (1) letter of recommendation dated within the last year and signed by the author and a copy of official transcripts verifying the required 48 credits or a passing score report on one of the three assessments.
