Evolver Federal is seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager to join our team in support of a US Federal Government customer in Camp Springs, MD. Responsibilities include management oversight of teams providing a broad range of cybersecurity support services. The Cyber Security Project Manager will have prior experience managing projects within a security team using Agile methodologies and demonstrated success in driving process improvement. This is a "hands on" role in the client environment, requiring oversight, leadership, and coaching of a team along with execution of projects/ tasks and development of work products and deliverables.

Responsibilities

The Cyber Security Project Manager will manage multiple teams in a client facing role responsible for the following:



  • Leading projects/programs in an Agile Environment
  • Maintaining FISMA Policies, Procedures and Reporting
  • Maintaining and executing the Security Authorization Process (SAP)

    • Security Control Assessment (SCA)
    • Risk Management Framework (RMF)
    • Information Security policies and procedures


  • Providing guidance on implementation and validation of NIST 800-53 controls
  • Assisting with program development, including planning, structure, team development, strategies for effective communications of the program and how to effectively implement and operate the program
  • Assisting with defining program strategy and objectives for the program
  • Contributing to strategy for the implementation of new technologies
  • Leading innovative cyber solutions
  • Fostering/ cultivating innovation among the team
  • Working in collaboration with support elements to enhance program capabilities
  • Understanding client requirements: draft, present and implement the client vision
  • Developing and maintaining Playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Developing and maintaining program policies, procedures, and other documentation as needed
  • Analyzing Security Information and Event Management data to identify process and tool gaps, and identify priority areas to improve overall security posture of organization
  • Ensuring product quality and timeliness of deliverable submissions
  • Providing advice and guidance to clients and contractor team members, resolving problems, removing blockers to meet client and contract objectives.



Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of experience managing Cyber Projects
  • 1 year of experience managing large federal programs
  • 1 year of experience supporting Federal Government agencies
  • 1 year of experience understanding contract requirements
  • An active PMP and CISSP certification
  • Must be a US Citizen with suitable eligibility for Public Trust clearance.
  • 1 year of experience with aiding in Business Development efforts
  • 1 year of experience writing RFP responses (technical solutions, capabilities statements, etc.)
  • 1 year of experience with the capture of small and large opportunities contributing to overall company growth



Preferred Qualifications



  • Advanced Degree in Information Technology, Business Management or similar fields is highly desirable 10+ years of experience in Cyber Security
  • Passionate about Cyber Security and the mission of protecting critical infrastructure and systems
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Homeland Security federal clients.
  • Ability to develop business cases, including quantification of value, in support of strategic initiatives and process improvement efforts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate implementation strategies to Sr. Leadership, including Branch Chiefs, Deputy CISOs, and the CISO.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully communicating new ideas to senior leadership positions.
  • Must be willing to go the extra mile to deliver on corporate and client commitments
  • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
