Description

This position deals with a wide range of responsibilities that include seeking & securing outside business, event theme building, creating event programs, communicating with event attendees & corporate donors, marketing, contracting vendors, coordinating event logistics, timelines and tasks as necessary for event production. The Events Manager should have a passion for special event management, provide outstanding communication to CW staff, vendors and event attendees, be an enthusiastic professional, and be capable of building strong and positive relationships with donors, guests, and partners.

Duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Liaise with clients, vendors, CW resort staff, and business and tourism representatives, sharing information to better promote The Spa/ CW as a tourism destination.
  • Plans new & competitive research-based marketing strategies for current and subsequent years to increase public awareness and visitation.
  • Maintain full knowledge of any additional contractual obligations with other resort departments.
  • Manage and oversee Special Events marketing initiatives for the The Spa, including websites, social media, press requests, printed collateral, and other forms of media for promotion of events.
  • Work with Staff Development Manager (SDM) & Guest Experience Manager (GEM) to create, train, improve & implement all departmental processes pertaining to Special Events.
  • Recommend, develop, and administer all phases of the event department, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures for generating event revenues.
  • Conducts follow-up with PICs after all Special Event to garner feedback and future/ repeat business.
  • Assist the Spa Director with developing, planning, coordinating, and managing new events to attract Special Events driven business.
  • Perform to FORBES standards and maintain expert level knowledge of all classifications and their measurements/ qualifiers.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 3 years of group event and sales coordination.
  • Proven experience working in luxury hotels/resorts with a focus on guest service.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays.


Preferred Qualities:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering unparalleled guest experiences.
  • Experience with sustainability initiatives and a commitment to environmentally friendly operations.
  • High-level knowledge in luxury brands including Forbes Four and Five-Star standards.

Qualifications
Experience
2 years: Experience in Spa or hotel sales (required)
