The HR Business Partner (HRBP) role supports our Corporate Functions areas which includes Finance, Legal, Audit, Compliance, Privacy & Sustainability, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Development as well as day to day HRBP support for our Data Science Excellence Program - a premier program for data scientists starting their careers. This role implements a robust talent agenda supporting these client groups in achieving commercial objectives. A hybrid role that straddles HR and the business, the HRBP is fluent in the strategies of both areas, and integrates these strategies to optimize retention, culture, diversity and inclusion, talent attraction, development, and engagement. This role is based out of our Jersey City, NJ office which has a flexible hybrid work model with 2 days per week in-office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and direction to managers and employees on core HR processes including employee relations, performance management and calibration, talent acquisition, and engagement
  • Assist with data accuracy in year-end compensation process
  • Create and maintain competitive benchmarking databases and perform preliminary analyses
  • Advise/coach managers and employees on challenging situations such as low team or personal engagement, interpersonal conflict, or performance plans
  • Lead career planning, career pathing, leveling, and promotion processes
  • Guide managers and employees in objective setting and career conversations
  • Use data from employee engagement survey to set a targeted culture agenda that improves scores year-over-year
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with legal and employee relations to lead objective investigations
  • Manage organizational changes and restructures; maintain the workforce plan and collaborate with finance to track hiring.
  • Provide input to succession planning
  • Participate in projects with HR Centers of Excellence and Oracle, with a focus on change management implementation
  • Track, analyze, and synthesize all talent related data (i.e., hiring, attrition, retention) and make recommendations to improve business performance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • Five years of HRBP experience
  • Solid practical knowledge of talent management disciplines, such as: performance management, succession planning, talent planning, competency development, compensation, and analytics
  • Strong knowledge of Employee Relations
  • Demonstrated business acumen and savvy
  • Ability to manage competing, high-priority demands, prioritize workloads, and manage projects against strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills; ability to establish credibility/rapport
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
