Support Specialist - Full Time Day
POSITION SUMMARY:
To oversee and coordinate the clerical activities associated with homecare to encompass: managing and scheduling homecare referrals, frequent collaboration with homecare team to include clinical coordinators, schedulers, and clinical managers as needed. Support homecare teams as well as homecare back-office staff by communicating patient care needs and performing additional clerical duties to include but not limited to: managing admission sheet on shared drive (all intake notes), admission phone calls, schedule admissions (after reviewing with clinical coordinator), collaboration with clinical coordinators for delays, Docusign, follow up on missing consents, daily reports, manage when to work schedule.
Shift - 8:30 AM -5:00 PM / One holiday a year
EDUCATION:
Associate degree preferred. Medical terminology preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of data entry and clerical experience required. Prior experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Clerical Skills including keyboard skills and computer applications, knowledge/skills to include the use of spreadsheets and word processing. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to pay close attention to details and function completely in stressful situations. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team (i.e., nurses, Rehab staff, etc.) and co-workers. Ability to demonstrate effective interaction and communication (oral and writing) skills. Ability to use effective time management to set priorities and perform job related responsibilities. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
