JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Dr. Reyes' Lab in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Penn State is hiring a part-time research assistant at the undergraduate level to assist in research projects related to food choice, early childhood nutrition, and community health. Our lab is interdisciplinary, and we are committed to address diet-related disparities to promote optimal thriving potential and wellbeing. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain research experience in public health nutrition and learn/apply mixed qualitative and quantitative methodology. This position is designed to support lab and research activities, for which training will be provided, and include: * Conduct literature reviews * Prepare guidelines/reports * Participate in recruitment and data collection activities * Conduct analysis * Support lab activities as needed The hourly rate starts at $15 with an estimated weekly commitment of 10 hours. The position is intended to be renewable position each semester, pending funding availability and performance. Desirable qualities in the ideal candidate include a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and proactiveness. Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
