Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate II for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School. Under direction, The Research Associate II, is responsible for the conduct of high-quality research in conjunction with faculty in the field of
Emergency Medicine.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Helps designs and conducts highly specialized and technical research.
* Participates in the development and refining of research protocols using appropriate methodology in conjunction with faculty, residents and students.
* Participates in the development of research ideas and translates them into executable research protocols.
* Identifies funding opportunities, helps faculty through grant applications and develops a robust grant portfolio for the department.
* Initiates and champions the
IRB application and approval process.
* Participates in the preparation of presentations (poster preparation/slides) of completed research at various forums.
* Participates in the gathering of data, analysis and interpretation related to quality initiatives of the department. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- PhD or Master's Degree in a relevant science plus three (3) years of related research experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Candidate must be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with departments faculty, students and residents.
- Sound knowledge of the IRB process, research methodology, statistical analysis and data interpretation.
- Proficiency with computer skills, literature searches and use of statistical software such as SPSS, SAS.
