Sign On Bonus - This position is eligible for a $6000 sign on bonus payable after hire.

Accountabilities:

  • Functions in the scrub role on surgical procedures as a member of the surgical team
  • Preparation and maintenance of the sterile field
  • Participates in maintaining the readiness of the Operating Room
  • Maintains professional work environment
  • Demonstrates accountability for own self development

Position Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program ARC~STSA(CAAHEP~ Commision on Accredidation of Allied Health Education Programs)
  • This position will need to recognize the needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated i.e. understand child growth and development normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging prior experience with various age groups is preferred
  • Ability to work well with internal and external customers
  • Fine motor skills
  • Ability to wear a surgical mask and gloves
  • Auditory skills which allow incumbent to hear individuals whose speech may be muffled
  • CPR certified
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) within 90 days of hire Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases heavy lifting in accordance with DOL definition
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and day of the week including holidays and take call as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with established time constraints.
  • Ability to communicate with mask on and not facing others.
  • If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds or when patient is unable to assist with the lift patient handling equipment is expected to be used with at least one other associate when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis
