The role:

The Manager of the Regulatory and Strategic Transformation team is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of the firm's key regulatory and strategic initiatives and related strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders across the enterprise. As a newly stood up function, this individual will support the Director of Regulatory and Strategic Transformation in setting strategy and standardizing a program governance framework for key remediations, applying oversight and governance across regulatory initiatives, and creating associated management and board reporting. This individual will be responsible for generating, capturing, analyzing and reporting key program metrics and risk/performance indicators, and driving program management and oversight of high impact enterprise transformation programs that have regulatory implications. The individual will also support the Regulatory Relations team in driving enhancements to the function and support stakeholders in driving program objectives and overseeing project plans and remediation efforts across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, is reliable and well organized, has prior financial services, regulatory and program management experience, excellent communication skills and is a strong team player. This individual should have a record of successfully supporting multiple large, cross-functional and complex projects in highly regulated environments. The candidate must be able to maintain poise and professionalism in stressful situations.

What you'll do:




  • Support the Director of Regulatory and Strategic Transformations in executing on the Regulatory Relations team's objectives and tasks;



  • Support developing a formal program governance framework for the successful delivery of the firm's key regulatory and strategic programs, including standardizing program requirements, documentation, templates and reporting standards across the scope of work;



  • Assist with the program management and successful execution of the firm's critical regulatory and strategic initiatives, supporting internal stakeholders in the build out and maintenance of detailed project plans, timelines and RAID logs, and applying tracking, reporting and oversight of efforts through to completion;



  • Develop and implement KPIs and other indicators to objectively measure progress and to help with the early identification and proactive mitigation of program risks and issues



  • Support migration of program management artifacts into appropriate tooling;



  • Conduct credible challenge of stakeholder status reports to help surface risks and issues related to the firm's regulatory and strategic programs



  • Create enhanced management and board reporting across programs, and manage reporting of the firm's bank/nonbank regulatory developments;



  • Identify and inventory potential areas of improvement, monitoring and overseeing the implementation of any required enhancements;



  • Support the business by coordinating and drafting regulatory responses and planning remediations



  • Support management in the analysis of critical program metrics and key risk/performance indicators



  • Maintain subject matter expertise in regulatory affairs and support the Director of Regulatory and Strategic Transformation in providing advisory services to the business and other functional areas



  • Track, monitor and report out on team's portfolio of work



  • This role will also spend some time (25-50%) supporting Regulatory Relations deliverables, including exam management, regulatory submissions and advising and supporting stakeholders on regulatory engagements.




What you'll need:




  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in financial services, legal or other control-related function; program management and regulatory experience preferred;



  • Highly motivated, positive attitude, analytical, strong attention to detail, communicative and organized and impeccable integrity;



  • Proven track record of leadership including success influencing and leading change without formal authority;



  • Experience developing management and board reporting and dashboards and/or synthesizing large amounts of data for senior management/board consumption;



  • Experience in the design and delivery of critical programs and projects involving heavily regulated areas, and managing highly complex project management activities, with proactiveness, agility and clear solution mitigation;



  • Ability to identify and articulate complex problems and support the definition and implementation of enhancements through succinct and clear messaging;



  • Strong competency developing attractive visual presentations using Google Slides / Microsoft PowerPoint and analyzing and formatting data and automating steps using Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel;



  • Experience implementing and utilizing program management tools to support enterprise transformations;;



  • Must be capable of dealing directly with executive management, regulators, auditors and other departments as necessary, and work with a high level of discretion;



  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills, and ability to make presentations in person or by conference calls, and draft clear and detailed reports;



  • Exercises good judgment in consulting, and interacts well with colleagues and management



  • Proven leadership abilities appropriate for level; collaborative and positive mindset; team-first mentality;



  • Experience with regulators preferred (not required)



  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on collaboration;



  • Ability to identify issues that require escalation; stand firm against unreasonable pushback; and manage escalation process through to resolution;



  • Knowledge of US regulators, supervisory expectations and requirements;



Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and location.
