Practice Overview We have an office at 4100 Lake Drive which is our larger office in Grand Rapids, and at 8333 Felch Street Suite 300 it is a multi-Specialty space within Zeeland Hospital. We have providers that flex to 6 other locations. Some locations we lease staff. We have staff that go to Health Pointe in Grand Haven and North Muskegon. Medical Assistant room for providers they take vitals, do body comp analysis for certain appointments, reconcile mediations etc., in patients' chart. They work with providers and nurses on incoming/outgoing in basket messages to patients. They do chart prep place lab orders and pend them for providers to review/cosign. They handle short term disability and FMLA paperwork. They clean rooms, stock supplies, we have various handouts that we distribute they help maintain supplies in rooms. They answer phones calls, retrieve messages. We have surgical seminar several times during the week where a group of patients come in to learn the surgical options the MA assigned obtains vitals, obtains health history forms, and enters date into computer if patient didn't complete electronically for the surgeon this done while surgeon is presenting in group setting. They take patient photos at various visits. They provide a drafted surgical checklist to the surgeons that surgeon will review with the patient. They process forms for record releases. They create surgical consents. We have materials that we provide to patients at our final decision and preop visits they prepare the bags that they give to patients. They provide injection education for patients who are on weight loss medication. Office Culture We are fortunate with our culture; we are a close group; everyone works to help each other out. Our staff can ask any provider any question and they will answer it. Our surgeons typically at the end of each office day go around and thank the staff for their assistance for that day. We typically engage in team events during the year and often included staff spouses/significant others. We have great GLINT scores and have GLINT committee that works on team events and belonging. We do education monthly on diversity at our staff meetings overall we have diverse group of employees. Our team does recognize each other at staff meetings and through WOWs. About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. Scope of work Provides clinical support to health care professionals to ensure the delivery of quality health care services. Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit/admission, and providing specific services and education as determined by the providers in accordance with licensure and policy. Performs necessary administrative duties that assure all information is current and updated. Includes maintenance and monitoring of electronic health record in basket. Maintains and cleans environment, work area, equipment, and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department/unit personnel. How we will care for you, while you care for our patients
