Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, we are seeking anAcademic Affairs Program Managerwho will work collaboratively with the Executive Vice Provost (EVP) and Senior Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (SAVP) to oversee the development, strategic planning, and implementation of initiatives led and managed by central academic affairs. These initiatives advance the mission of the university by transcending school and divisional boundaries to coordinate and strengthen university policies and procedures and supporting research, education, and the student experience. Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Program/Project Management (50%)
- Collaborate with the EVP and/or SAVP to define the scope, goals, deliverables, and schedule/timeline for various academic affairs initiatives (e.g., new university-wide policy creation, university-wide Non-Degree/Non-Credit initiative, external reviews).
- Manage project communication to ensure all stakeholders remain informed and engaged through meetings, status reports, response to inquiries, etc.
- Manage documentation of initiatives and programs.
- Monitor and manage project progress and resources with regular reports to the EVP and/or SAVP.
- Identify and eliminate blockers and potential risks to ensure the project meets its goals and deliverables on time.
- Coordinate the operation of projects and manage project interdependencies.
- Ensure that project results are assessed and evaluated upon conclusion.
Research & Data Analysis (50%)
- Collect data in support of academic affairs initiatives (e.g., benchmarking for university-wide policies or initiatives).
- Analyze data to provide insights that support decision-making.
- Generate reports, including relevant data visualization and basic statistical analysis, to support decision-making.
- Manage databases and troubleshoot issues.

- Demonstrated experience with managing projects, balancing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Proven skill and ability to identify and analyze complex situations, present alternatives and options, and recommend or implement effective courses of action.
- Ability to collect and combine information and data as well as provide summary reports.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team.
- Ability to effectively work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including internal staff, faculty, members of senior leadership.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in Qualtrics and/or other data reporting systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related field.
- Certification in project managed preferred but not required.
