Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Sustainment Manager to provide technical support for the Technical Advisory and Assistance Services (TAAS) program at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Develop and evaluate technical requirements for the development, test, certification, acquisition, and sustainment of complex AEHF Terminal systems.
  • Assess and evaluate level of commonality between AEHF Terminal systems and identify cost savings opportunities across the AEHF life cycle.
  • Support technical evaluations of AEHF terminal system proposals and identify areas that may present duplication of effort.
  • Develop a projected lifecycle cost estimate in conjunction with the program control element to develop Program Objective Memorandum (POM) input.
  • Direct and organize the program's logistic personnel to efficiently complete the tasking from the Product Support Manager (PSM) and periodically report the status of the work effort and progress.
  • Conduct research and assist the PSM in Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) planning.
  • Ensure that the planning follows statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the LCL leads in the development and maintenance of a LCSP.
  • Assist the LCL leads in the development of a plan between the acquisition and sustaining organization(s).
  • Consolidate and synthesize product support data from multiple programs, data inputs from multiple functional disciplines, and independent research into coherent products to support senior leadership decision processes and products.


Qualifications

15+ years experience in interoperability and integration engineering. Master's degree in a related field. Must be familiar with the policies and requirements of the DoD 5000 series of publications. Familiar with industry practices in the development and deployment of those systems. Familiar with the requirements definition practice and procedures and the creation of acquisition documentation necessary to implement those requirements into a fielded interoperable system, capable of lifetime sustainment. Knowledge of acquisition documentation relating to agency funding, testing, certifications, lifetime system refreshment, and sustainment, short and long term, both by commercial sources and organic depot sources. Familiar with the requirement to interface and comply with the National Security agency (NSA) for classified systems and with the protections required for the export of sensitive information. Able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of technical discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise. Experience in assisting with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities. Possess proven leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational development skills. Experience in packaging and presenting briefings for senior level reviews. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
