We are seeking an experienced and driven Credit Manager to lead our credit department. The ideal candidate will oversee credit policies, manage high-value accounts, and ensure optimal cash flow while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role is crucial in balancing risk management with business growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures
  • Analyze financial statements and credit reports to determine creditworthiness of new and existing customers
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts ranging from $5,000 to $500,000 with a total portfolio of $7.5 million to $9.5 million at any given time
  • Lead collection efforts on past-due accounts and negotiate payment terms
  • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to support business growth while minimizing credit risk
  • Provide regular reports on credit performance and risk exposure to senior management
  • Supervise and mentor the accounts receivable team
  • Continuously improve credit and collection processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in credit (AR) management, preferably in a high-volume or B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis techniques
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and credit management software

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
