ABOUT THE POSITION

Hiring Salary Range - $65,000 - $80,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location. This hybrid position could be located from Raleigh, NC or Orlando, FL, but preference will be given to those who will work from our Orlando, FL office.

Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days in the Office, 2 Days Remote from Primary Residence

Responsibilities

    Works with SQA Manager to define an automated test strategy, tools, processes, and timelines for quality assurance of new and existing projects and products.
  • Take part in expanding your current skill set by helping to build an SQA automated regression test suite focusing on applications designed to improve highway safety
  • Creates, maintains, and runs automated scripts used for regression, load, and stress testing efforts.
  • Creates, maintains, and runs manual test scripts used for integration and end to end testing efforts.
  • Works with SQA Manager to ensure business requirements and/or feature documents are clear, concise, traceable, and testable.
  • Executes test plans, documents result and engages team to address issues.
  • Keeps up to date with and implements industry best practices.

Skills and Attributes

  • Hands on experience with UFT One or similar automation testing software preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Understanding of industry-specific quality assurance requirements and regulations
  • Experience writing SQA documentation (test plans, test cases and defect reports.
  • In depth knowledge of testing concepts, phases, and types of testing
  • Extensive experience developing and executing test scripts and test cases at the required level of detail for each project/feature request.
  • Desire to learn and excel in a software quality assurance career path

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
  • At least 2 years of software engineering QA testing experience
