Overview AIR is seeking a Senior Indigenous Education Expert to lead AIR's growing portfolio of research and policy-focused Indigenous education work within the United States. The Senior Expert will be part of the Education Systems team within AIR's Human Services division. Over the next several years, AIR will engage in Tribal consultation with Tribes, state-level Indian education advisory boards, and/or Tribal education agencies (TEAs) in a dozen states to determine their technical assistance needs and build out one or more projects to meet those needs. AIR's current portfolio of Indigenous education work includes research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects. The ideal candidate can help it grow by providing leadership and strategic direction. This position has the flexibility to work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations.This does not include U.S. territories. Responsibilities AIR's Senior Indigenous Education Expert will help develop and grow work through capacity building, policy efforts, technical assistance, and the intersection with research and evaluation focused on indigenous education work. We are seeking an individual who can work in conjunction with a strong team of senior staff; engage in strategic planning; lead efforts to win new work; and carry out this work via designing and leading projects, as well as through strong client relationships. The Senior Indigenous Education Expert will build AIR's organizational capacity, knowledge and eminence in the area of Indigenous education. The candidate will have subject matter expertise and technical assistance experience providing culturally responsive training, facilitation and coaching support . This position will require proven ability to provide technical assistance to diverse audiences working with state, Tribal, and national partners, including:

AIR's Total Rewards Program, is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $165,000 - $180,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets.
