Job Overview
The Learning Experience Specialist - Sales Coach will assist in driving regional sales enablement through the training and education of the Marvin sales and architectural team members. This will include providing onboarding support, training around our products, systems, sales skills and customer service skills, and ongoing training support for existing employees. All this will be done in partnership with the sales leadership team and will include creating self-directed learning paths, instructor led and virtual training, experiential learning and mentoring. This position will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment on cross functional projects that drive measurable and sustained business impact.
Highlights of your role
Monitors progress of new sales employees, guides and coaches them in their journey, and holds them accountable for meeting expectations and milestones
- Identifies the needs and goals of sales team members, including geographic location, level of experience, focus areas, etc. and adapts the learning
- Establishes standards of conduct during dealer and architectural sales calls, appointments, presentations and all interactions with customers
- Delivers learning solutions across a variety of topics and subject matter areas (Marvin product, systems, sales presentation skills, soft skills, customer service)
- Works with the Regional Sales leadership team to identify learning opportunities and facilitates programming to address those opportunities.
- Sets and tracks timelines, milestones, and due dates and remains agile when priorities shift
- Facilitate a consistent, engaging and comprehensive Sales onboarding program
- Acts as subject matter expert in the development of content, such as facilitator guides, reference guides, and PowerPoints to support facilitated learning experience for the individual sales team member's needs and goals.
- Keeps updated on systems and products changes and proactively understanding the impacts of the changes
- Shares reporting with the Regional Sales leadership team on the progress of the sales team members learning goals.
- Understands business strategy and how learning enables business success.
- Forms and strengthens relationships with various subject matter experts, leaders, and key stakeholders to ensure we are delivering the correct and most current information, best practices, and processes
- Acts as guide and leader for various Marvin programs.
- Creates a space that supports a positive and meaningful learning experience, including connecting to learners, listening, asking questions to better understand perspectives, soliciting responses, guiding discussions, etc.
- Presents information in a clear, logical, and organized way; knows which points to emphasize to increase learning.
- Establishes and implements metrics and benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of training and provide insight to management.
- Gathers and captures feedback and key learnings from sessions in a timely manner and form ideas on how to improve based on results.
- Provides feedback on content and solutions based on interactions with learners. Evaluates metrics and feedback from all facilitators, makes connections to qualitative and quantitative data, identifies patterns, and provides input on how to act upon these results.
- Brings ideas to the manager around improvements to the learning experience and develops plans to implement those ideas
- Supports, coaches, and mentors other learning facilitators.
- Collaborates with other learning coaches
- Fosters positive interdepartmental relationships while supporting their needs for education, delivery, and knowledge.
- Stays current on learning and development trends to increase effectiveness of programs and retention of knowledge.
- Brings fresh ideas to the manager and with direction supports the implementation of ideas within the team.

- Expert in learning facilitation across all modalities and creating an interactive learning experience. Ability to facilitate and present to groups of varying sizes and skill level
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information on a continual basis
- Superior relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and partner well with others in order to build strong and trusting relationships
- Proven ability to communicate ideas and insights in person, virtually, and in writing, succinctly and with impact, understanding what is relevant vs. what is "noise" to the audience
- Strong classroom management experience, including professionally handling various disruptions, interruptions, etc.
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills; must display a balanced, objective approach and sound judgment when recommending a course of action
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong influencing skills when recommending and implementing solutions with business partners
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Candidate must reside within sales region they support
Also want to make sure you have
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Related professional certification or designation is an asset
- Experience in sales/sales training preferred
- Experience in Sales Force, CMS systems
