Teachers College enrolls nearly 5,000 students across six departments. It collaborates extensively with other Ball State colleges and has launched several new undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs on campus and online to meet the changing needs of both the job market and adult learners.

Position Function |
Under the direction of the Dean, the Associate Dean leads core responsibilities related to faculty including hiring, promotion and tenure, research development, Faculty loads, and grants. Oversees college strategic planning; supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative practices aimed at enhancing impact: assists in preparing, monitoring, projecting, and revising the college budget. |
Minimum Education |
Doctorate degree in a field of or related to education from an accredited institution. |
Minimum Experience |
Experience working with data and assessment summaries for at least one academic year (8 months). |
Minimum Other |
Rank of associate professor with tenure or higher in an education-related field/discipline offered within the College. Demonstrated record of excellent organizational and interpersonal relations; excellent communication and writing skills, and sensitivity to issues around inclusive excellence. |

Preferred Experience |
Two years of successful administrative experience in higher education at the level of program director, program coordinator, assistant department chair, department chair, or associate/assistant dean, experience with outcome-based project management. |

Demonstrated ability to work well with others, strong research and analytic skills, experience with developing and executing complex strategic initiatives. |
