Description

Provide parts to support Manufacturing and Engineering. Identify and negotiate with vendors to obtain quality parts at the lowest possible cost to meet requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Determine parts requirements using Fourth Shift or equivalent.
  • Identify appropriate vendors, analyze quotes, negotiate price and delivery and place purchase orders in accordance with requirements.
  • Provide necessary information to Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Resolve all vendor related problems.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Encourage and participate in cost improvements and make or buy decisions.
  • Utilize good communication skills and knowledge of policies and practices to optimize purchases.
  • Perform related duties and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills required to obtain best prices and delivery of quality materials.
  • Reasoning and communication skills required in dealing with problem areas.
  • This position will also be exposed to other areas of Supply Chain and Planning as needed.



EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Associates degree in a business field or 2 years of college business courses such as Finance or Accounting.



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Negotiation and persuasion skills required to obtain best prices and delivery of quality materials.
  • Reasoning and communication skills required in dealing with problem areas.



Target Salary 75k-85k
