WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Siloam Springs office, as a Product Development Engineer you will be responsible for research and development of new V-belt & CVT belts to meet customer and market needs.
  • You'll be working on cross-functional teams with materials & process development, test lab, operations and product line management personnel.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be developing the next generation of V & CVT belts, applying new technologies to drive market leadership in a core product line.
  • You'll have opportunities to work on global projects with team members in Asia, Europe & North America.
  • You will experience working in office, laboratory & manufacturing environments.
  • You will be a part of the Global Innovation Team reporting to the Manager of V & CVT Belt Development.
Key responsibilities:
  • Applying new and existing material technologies, designing, testing & validating new V & CVT belts.
  • Leading cross-functional teams, utilizing broad knowledge of engineering principles to complete assigned development projects.
  • Integrating process capability and product designs to deliver high quality products to diverse end market
ABOUT YOU
  • Minimum 5 of years R&D experience or 1-3 years R&D experience specific to Gates product lines preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering. Mechanical, chemical or materials science preferred.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problems solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) including: Design of Experiments, FMEA, SPC and Weibull is beneficial.
  • Up to 25% travel allotment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Full-Time
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement
