Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 annually

Regular Full-Time Exempt

Location: Manhattan, KS (onsite)

Expand your leadership experience where you'll oversee key departments in our fundraising division, including administrative support, volunteer engagement, events, and principal gift operations. You'll collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to craft and implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency and align with our mission. A day in the life of an AVP of Development Operations could be:

  • Lead/oversee assigned divisions including fundraising administrative support, volunteer engagement, events, and principal gift operations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of processes/systems to support fundraising and donor engagement activities. Focus on overseeing fundraising operations, strategic planning, and allocating resources effectively.
  • Monitor usage of development budget. Identify trends and suggest opportunities for effective budget usage.
  • Identify the effective use of technology platforms (ticketing system, organizational-wide applications, etc.). Implement new systems or technologies to enhance productivity.
  • Manage professional development resources, including internal training, to optimize individual team member performance and support pinnacle career experience. Develop and deliver training on systems to optimize and enhance operational performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or related field
  • 10 years of full-time experience in development operations or similar work implementing and optimizing operational systems and processes
  • 5 years of leadership experience, managing multiple individual contributors and people leaders, to inspire others and give/receive feedback
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, particularly in a higher education
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Understanding of the intersection and collaboration needs between development, administrative support, volunteer engagement, and event management, and how they collaborate with other internal and external partners
  • Leadership experience overseeing multiple departments with a variety of goal initiatives
