As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will act as the Electrical Project Manager for electrical ground systems located on the Launch Pad, Transporter Erector and Mobile Test Stand. This role requires collaboration with internal and external design teams and subcontractors to manage and coordinate construction and developing operational plans and procedures. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of design, procurement, fabrication, installation and testing. As the Electrical Project Manager, you will coordinate with Architects of Record and Blue engineers as needed for construction execution, design review, design or intent change integration. In this role you will coordinate with the site General Contractor to maintain all schedule milestones, manage and approve request for information and submittals, review cost estimates and change orders, execute procurements process for unbought scope, and review/disposition non conformances.

Qualifications:

  • B.S degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electrical distribution design, hazard classification, load balancing, single-line diagrams, design documentation, construction drawings, construction bid solicitation, contractor selection, construction management, field superintendent, permitting, QA/QC
  • Experience with commissioning, operating, and maintenance of power systems
  • Candidate must be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds. Must be able to physically climb multiple flights stairs, withstand prolonged standing, and work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to design and understand precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and modeling applications
  • Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiative
  • Recognize and act on opportunities; maintain flexibility to adjust as requirements shift or constraints change
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Intermediate
  • Candidate must be able to successfully apply for badging at a government installation
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

  • Experience with Newforma Project Center
  • Experience with project planning and controls
  • Experience working with DOD, USAF, and/or NASA
  • Experience in the aerospace (orbital launch vehicle) sector
  • Experience working to AFSPCMAN 91-710 range requirements
  • Experience with NFPA 72, NFPA 495, NFPA 497
  • Experience with Launch GSE Operations
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
