Our Bremerton, WA Home Office supports our nationwide operations through highly trained and motivated professionals in finance, human resources, vocational, information systems, communications, quality, safety, and training.

Location: Bremerton, Washington (Hybrid)

Type: Temporary, Full Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift, 10 weeks, flexible internship start and end date, approximately May-September 2025

The Business Development Intern is a key contributor to change and growth within the Tessera business. Strong candidates will have a social entrepreneurial spirit, a deep curiosity on several business topics, and an interest in generating new business. Interns will gain valuable work experience in research, data management, and communication skills in a social enterprise setting while also having opportunities to establish professional mentor relationships.

• Generate and progress new business ideas and strategies that could lead to new revenue for the company.

• Compile, analyze, and communicate industry pain points and emerging trends to map alternative solutions.

• Prepare presentations and/or business plans to share knowledge and ideas with senior management.

• Identify potential customers and/or customer profiles to build relationships in new industries.

• Participate in Business Development (BD) meetings; actively engage in discussion.

• Contribute to goal setting and impact monitoring in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.

• Assist with summer events.

• Maintain a professional, positive, and inclusive attitude.

• Attend Intern team meetings and trainings.

• Work on a collaborative intern cohort team project.

• Other Duties as assigned.

Summary of Experience for the Tessera Business Development Intern:

• Must be pursuing a degree in Business in Entrepreneurship or obtaining a specialization in entrepreneurship

• Combination of previous experience and education allowed

• A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

• Computer data management and word processing skills.

• Ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality, time management, organizational, and communication skills.

• Valid state driver's license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.

• Present yourself with a positive and professional attitude.
