Project Coordinator, Senior WIND

JOB TITLE:
PROJECT COORDINATOR, SENIOR, WYO INSTITUTE FOR DISABILITIES (WIND)
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide a critical and strategic role within the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND) by implementing multiple complex projects, while identifying and securing funding, specific to disability and health access, promotion, and education to reduce health disparities experience by people with disabilities; including intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as well as other special populations. Manage, develop, coordinate, and implement inclusive health programs of WIND. This will include program development, grant proposal writing and reporting, curriculum development and delivery, and supervision of staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop future and oversee current health emphasis programs. Core programming includes Wyoming Telehealth Network, ECHO(s) in Health, Equality State Research Network (ESRN) and deliverables that includes but are not limited to conducting programmatic activities, identifying gaps in resources and tools to promote health initiatives, developing curriculum, evaluate programmatic outcomes, and delivering asynchronous training to multiple constituents.
- Daily tasks can include but are not limited to developing and measuring progress toward goals; maintaining and developing university, agency and organizational partnerships; coordinating and convening advisory councils; engaging individuals with disabilities and their families; and writing and submitting grant proposals and reports.
- Manage research and programmatic activities related to disability and health initiatives including access, barriers and facilitators to care within Wyoming.
- Establish, expand, and enhance partnerships with statewide organizations that serve adults with disabilities to improve the health of people with mobility limitations and intellectual / developmental disabilities in Wyoming.
- Provide senior leadership and project direction: act as a coach or mentor to employees in the unit.
- Provide problem resolution including working through barriers and meeting or modifying deadlines with reasonable time management and little to no supervision as determined by assigned supervisor(s).
- Comply with Federal, State and University policies and procedures.
- Access, establish and maintain a network of community agencies for resources and referral purposes to support individuals with disabilities. SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience:
3 years progressively responsible work-related experience. including administration, supervision, and
counseling experience
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:
- Valid driver's license is required for some positions
- Some positions require licensure and/or certification as a counselor, addictions therapist, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker as stated in the specific position advertisement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree and 4 years work-related experience in health-related fields
- 2+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience including building relationships and partnerships with providers
- Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of or existing relationships with the healthcare provider community in Wyoming
- Deep understanding of the current healthcare landscape coupled with the ability to envision the future and strategy of telehealth implementation in Wyoming
- Ability to communicate complex healthcare concepts effectively to various stakeholders including senior leadership
- Knowledge of intellectual/developmental disabilities systems and supports as well as current federal & state disability law (Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act) Title II of the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and Amendments Act (ADAAA), as they apply to programs and activities.
- Ability to apply problem-solving techniques and professional judgment in complex, confidential and sensitive situations.
- Skills to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with healthcare providers and healthcare entities.
- Knowledge of project planning, project implementation, project evaluation.
- Knowledge of assessment and data analysis techniques, methods and practices.
