General Summary Sell whole goods to customer while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions



  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts using the appropriate paperwork processing procedures.
  • Display a positive attitude on a daily basis and encourage each sales and customer service rep to meet their daily goals. Develop a sense of ""team"" in all departments.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activity.
  • Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store and assist them with specific needs. Direct customers to the product. Coordinate with other company staff to close the sale.
  • Provide accurate and current information about the product for all inquiries. Ensure every attempt is made to satisfy the customer prior to exiting the store using best judgment at all times.
  • Increase the customer base by adding new customers to the mailing list.
  • Keep daily records of sale of whole goods profit and loss.
  • Continually seek technical and product knowledge. Stay abreast of new developments.
  • Ensure appropriate display of merchandise, cleanliness and tidiness of store and equipment areas.
  • Meet with sales team to discuss issues and opportunities to improve equipment sales.
  • Evaluate/update sales brochures and displays to ensure they are accurate, timely and visually appealing. Provide manager with accurate count of all sales materials.
  • Meet with Sales Manager to review goals and objectives. Discuss promotions/opportunities for the department and means to exceed expectations. Discuss improvements to be implemented.
  • Perform all other job functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: Requires two or more years of retail sales experience with a track record of success preferably in one of the following industries: Agriculture equipment, motor vehicle industry, outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, construction equipment/machinery, small engine and accessories.

  • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads of up to 70 pounds

Work Environment



  • While traveling may have contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions

While performing the essential job functions of this position, the following is required:



  • Continuously drive, manual dexterity (fingers and hands), reach with arms and hands, stand, repetitive motion feet and hands, pull, push, lift, carry 10-70 pounds unassisted, walk
  • Frequently sit, twist back and neck
  • Occasionally balance, bend, crouch, kneel


Must be able to speak to co-workers and customers regarding day-to-day business operations.
