A Red Valve Materials Clerk must be a highly motivated, creative, self-starter who will be required to handle the daily processing of all production packets consisting of engraving metal data plates for Customer Sales Orders and printing Instruction Manuals/ Specifications. Printing required drawings for machine shop components. This position will also have other planning/production duties and will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Works within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify methods and approach. Completes assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision. Follows established safety/environmental practices and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Knowledge of and/or commitment to learn the following responsibilities:


  • Process and engrave metal data plates to proper specifications and customer special tagging requirements.
  • Print drawings for all shop orders.
  • Efficiently process packets within 24 hours at all times, having a minimum of 90% processed within the same day/shift received.
  • Immediately create tags and deliver Quick Assembly, "HOT" and special-order requests to the shop floor.
  • Sort packets by product line, size and/or machine - and provide expedient physical delivery of shop packets to the various areas on the shop floor.
  • Resolve packet or tagging discrepancies in a proficient manner working with Planning, Order Entry, and Project Managers to ensure proper information is on tags.
  • Back-up for reviewing/processing/releasing packets with Planning Shortage Reports. As time allows this could assigned as part of regular job duties for a particular product line.
  • Close out work orders.
  • Follow daily production in assembly and TMS to make sure all operations are posting in Net Suite.
  • Resolve any issues at the Quality Station related to Net Suite entry.
  • Update Sales Order Acknowledged dates.
  • Other duties required, including but not limited to:

    • Responsible for copier knowledge/supplies in front Tag room
    • Creating/Copying reports
    • Update system item data as directed






Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education

High school diploma; and prefer 1 year of experience in an office environment.


Skills/Experience

  • Attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy with repetitive work & strong organizational and interpersonal skills a necessity.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing facility & ability to understand prints and manufacturing processes.
  • General office computer skills and ability to understand and navigate in Excel
