We are looking to fill our Saturday Recreation Attendant position with shifts available from 9 am-9 pm Monday thru Friday. Attendants will work 2-3 shifts a week and must also be available to work every third Saturday from 6am-12pm or 12pm - 6pm. SUMMARY/PRIMARY PURPOSE: The part-time (up to 18 hours/week) Recreation Attendant will be responsible for overseeing members and guests as they participate in fitness and sports programs and activities in the fitness center and gymnasium. The Recreation Attendant will be primarily responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and dedicated customer service of the fitness and sports areas. The duties of this job will be performed in various settings within a community center including a fitness center and gymnasium, where the noise level is usually moderate to loud and conditions may be warmer and more humid than a normal office environment. For other duties of this job, such as outdoor special events and community center activities, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment at these events is usually moderate to loud. This position requires the employee be available to work days, weeknights, weekends, and holidays as required. We are looking for energetic, fun, and kid-loving people who love jumping, twisting, and flipping through challenging obstacle courses! Martial Arts/Parkour/Tumbling experience is a plus but willing to train for the right fit. Classes focus on skills related to coordination, agility, strength, and speed for a unique sports experience. This is a part-time position with up to 18 hours per week. Must be available evenings as needed.
